Everyday products we use without thinking can cause asthma, upper respiratory disorders even cancer.
Household cleaners, laundry detergents, shampoos even the food we eat. I hear it everyday “those Living Green products are too expensive compared to store bought products.” What a crock! These are the same folks that will spend $5 for a cup of fufu coffee, $6 for a pack of cigarettes or $8 to$12 for a beer but they can’t afford to replace the cancer causing products that will increase their health care costs over the years because really they just can’t wrap their heads around the truth. They are too lazy to become educated.

Requirements: The desire to do what’s right not what’s convenient. I have yet to find a case where, when analyzed, price was the real reason. Getting educated on Living Green isn’t tough it just takes motivation and a little time. If you are sitting and watching television you have the time to find healthy products that will do you far more good than a beer or cigarette.

What’s on my mind this morning is the thought that the highest risk people are still making choices that are bad for them.
I know, living healthy is a choice. But at some point in time we need to make the right choice or help others make informed choices. his has become such a large concern that is now part of the political landscape. Politicians want to ban salt in restaurants, a city in the North East is requiring McDonald’s to rework their menu with healthier choices. The list goes on.
The health problems that arise from our choices shouldn’t be governed, they should be addressed on a personal level. I can’t stop people from unhealthy eating habits and neither can you, but we can help them clear out the toxins from their homes and give them a little more of a fighting chance against the elements trying to beat them down.
I have at least 5 friends and family that are cancer survivors. Yet some of them make personal health choices that are not conductive to staying cancer free. I can’t stop that, but I can and have helped them remove toxins like chlorine bleach out of their homes. Chlorine bleach has dioxins in it. Remember ddt? Considered such a dangerous carcinogenic chemical that the world banned it’s use, is safer then dioxins. The dioxins in bleach are 300,000 times more carcinogenic then ddt!
Talk to the people in your life that you love and care about, and help them make informed choices.

A few months back I met Bob Burg, the author of Endless Referrals, The Go Giver and Go Givers Sell More. He was giving an Endless Referrals to a group of business owners/networkers in Denver.
What Bob talked about was a simple system of networking your everyday contacts into sales. Sounds like something most of us do if we own or run business, work in sales or marketing. But Bob does it systematically and with the end in mind of giving his contacts value.
After 30+ years in advertising, marketing and sales I thought I knew how to network. I did and I didn’t. I did the way I had always networked and taught others to network, I didn’t in a systematic way like Bob teaches. How do you network? Meet someone and immediately tell what you do, your company, and what you can do for them. Hand them a business card and move on the next prospect.
Or do you introduce yourself and ask what they do, ask how they got into it, how much they love it, ask where they are going with it. Ask for their business card. Ask….

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my blog. Sorry I have been gone awhile but I am almost recovered and getting ready to attack unemployment, under employment and those that are on shaky ground with their jobs.
Let’s face it, the economy for most people isn’t strong, the economy for some has never been better. Which group are you in? I have been in both and now permanently reside in the “it’s never been better” group. How did I do that? Well the same way thousands and thousands of others have, through a home based marketing company. I know, I know! Pyramids! Scams! MLM’s! Get over yourself and your negative stereotyping of an industry you know nothing about. Open your eyes, open your ears and open you HEART.
Your heart is the most important aspect when it comes to building a marketing business. If you don’t have heart, wanting to help others succeed, putting their interests in front of your own, you will never make it in this business. Don’t even start, don’t call me, I don’t want you if you don’t have Heart. If it is all about you, you will fail, yeah I know you might make a lot of money, but you will still fail. Why? Because when it is about you, someone always gets hurt. That’s why there is an MLM/Network marketing graveyard with literally hundreds and hundreds of dead companies. MLM’s feed off of getting rich quick, ground floor opportunities, the latest and greatest “new” product. Their ownership often have their own down-lines, they make decisions that are good for them, not you. They have limited products or you have to buy so much you end up with a garage full of them.
But I digress. There are many companies out there with good reputations, good products and services and people with heart. So what can we do to start chipping away at this poor economy so many live in?
Pick a company that has everyday consumable products, preferably safe, natural “Green” products (there is something to being in the industry of the future).
Then the fun begins. If we all sponsored one unemployed person or family, and took the time and energy to build their business, before our own, mathematically we could end the recession in about 6 months. Unemployment would almost disappear, fear of losing your job would be gone, working two or three jobs to pay the rent would be a thing of the past.
So why hasn’t this happened yet? Fear. Ignorance. Laziness. But mainly Fear. Fear stops us all from reaching out and doing things outside our comfort zone. Fear keeps us in line with the limitations we were taught as children. Fear is our comfort zone until someone else shows us that it doesn’t need to be.
Do you have heart? Do you have enough Heart to get over your fear? Do you care enough about others to want to change their lives forever in a positive way?
If everyone made $250,000 a year or more, would there be this big divide in politics and big government, would people of different cultures, races, religions be so distrustful of one another? Well, everyone has the opportunity to make that kind of money, with a little guidance, and help. We, YOU can bridge that gap between diversity. You just need to get over your fear.

The Worst Day Working…….
I have this alter ego that actually has to work every day at his business. It’s not golf, too bad because my alter ego’s passion is golf. But my alter ego, AE for short does play golf about 3 – 4 times a week. AE gets a little testy because that other stuff in his life gets in the way of golf.
We only have a short golf season here in Colorado, about 8 months. I know many a die-hard play all year here, but AE’s body just can’t take walking around in 20 degree weather hitting a golf ball that feels like concrete. So 8 months is what we try to get in.
AE’s primary source of income is a Consumer Direct Marketing business (sometimes, erroneously referred to as network marketing) which is another of his passions. It took me, a normal, conservative, middle America golfer to finally get my head wrapped around this Consumer Direct Marketing stuff. After a little research, it turns out that it really pretty cool.
Donald Trump does it, Warren Buffet does it, Donnie Osmond does it, Tom Peters author of “In Search of Excellence” says more millionaires will be made in network marketing than any other business sector this decade. AE says it is one of several revenue strings or passive income strings we all need to become financially free.
He works his business everywhere he goes. Golf course, Starbucks, seminars, meetings, grocery stores and online. He makes phone calls to all of his business associates and prospects, never just an email hoping to get a response. He is passionate about helping others build a lifetime of recession proof income that is inheritable by his children and grand children.
This type of business allows him to play golf (his passion) at least 3 times a week and sometimes more. That doesn’t count his practice days. Which is everyday. He has a forty yard pitching area in his backyard and a living room carpet that putts at an 11 on the stimp meter. So there must be something to this networking , oops, consumer direct marketing business.
It also represents the most successful “Green” company in the industry. Almost a billion dollars in revenue last year and debt free. When people say “oh that’s a pyramid” he just laughs.

Lets face it, everyone thinks they need a great Twitter and Facebook page, they think that a lot of followers equals success. Right? Well if all you are doing is collecting friends and followers, Right! If you really want to build a business, wrong.
If you don’t have a solid foundation for your business, you haven’t got a business. Think about it, do you buy from people just because they have 20,000 followers and 10,000 fans? Or do you buy from them because they have a solid business, a message that tells you what they do and why they do it. Did they build trust with you or did you just order because the squeeze page popped up and told you this page would never be shown again.
Sure it adds to their credibility with a lot of fans, but whats their message?
Whats your message. Does your web page grab them, does your copy writing sell? Your copy is number one. Don’t skimp on it, write it, re-write it and test it. Have others read it and take their opinion to heart. If it’s bad, throw it out! Lose the ego. Is it about how you feel about your writing abilities or how your prospective customers or clients feel about it?
If you can’t write, hire someone to do it for you. Copy is King!
Starting a home based business is really easy and simple. Getting it to grow is the tough part. It doesn’t matter if you have an Internet Marketing company, MLM, Direct sales or some other form of small business that you run from your home. The basics are the same.
Once you have the right company, are you on the right team? Do you have a strong and committed group to work with? If not, find one. Having a supportive team is vital to your success.
How are you finding new customers or leads? Marketing is the life blood of your business, if your not focused on marketing, your not focused. What is your conversion rate? Is your message doing its job?
Sales. The close. What is your closing rate? Hard sell, soft sell, are they buying a product, service or you? Make sure you know and that your message reflects it.
Follow up. Okay you closed the deal, now what? Follow up e-mail? Text? Phone call? 48 hours is the critical time frame, don’t leave them hanging especially if they have to wait for their order to arrive.
Like I said, Easy.
Wait a minute, did I forget, accounting, banking, legal, joint venture agreements, licensing, taxes, etc… There is a lot more to it than most people will tell you. Don’t get discouraged there is help out there.
